Modular racks and rigs for strength training

A modular rack or training rig lets you create a setup for strength training, bodyweight exercises and functional workouts. Combine compatible modules to suit your training goals and the space available.

Explore complete rig configurations and individual components such as uprights, pull-up bars, monkey bars and wall-ball targets. Check which parts are included and whether a component belongs to the system you want to build or extend.

What is a modular rack or rig?

A training rig is a structure built from uprights and connecting modules. Depending on the system, you can add pull-up bars, overhead monkey bars, targets and other approved attachments. Each component has a defined role in the structure, so follow the manufacturer’s configuration and installation requirements.

Rigs can provide several training stations in gyms, studios and group-training areas. The number of people who can use them simultaneously depends on the configuration, load ratings and clearance between exercises.

Training options

Depending on its design and approved uses, a rig can support pull-ups, chin-ups, ring exercises and other bodyweight movements. Muscle-ups and exercises involving swinging require suitable clearance and a structure rated for those movements. Rings, suspension trainers and punch bags may add options, but only use compatible attachments and approved mounting points.

Complete rigs and separate modules

A complete rig configuration provides the components listed for that setup; it still requires assembly and any specified anchoring before use. Individual modules are intended to build or extend a compatible system. Check the product contents, connection dimensions, fixings and any additional parts required. Similar-looking components are not necessarily interchangeable.

Planning a gym or studio setup

Measure floor space, ceiling height and the working area around each station. Allow room for users, movement and access, especially during group sessions. Check floor or wall suitability, installation requirements and the permitted usage level. A modular design offers scope for expansion, provided the revised configuration remains within the manufacturer’s specifications.
