Consoles and displays for fitness equipment
A faulty console or display can leave training data, programmes or control functions unavailable. Our range includes complete consoles, displays, exercise bike computers, keypad membranes and other control components for specific fitness machines. Always check the brand, model and part number before ordering.
What does a fitness machine’s console do?
The console provides the controls for a fitness machine and displays information such as time, distance, speed, resistance or heart rate. Depending on the machine, it may also allow you to select training programmes or adjust resistance levels, speed or incline. Available functions vary considerably between machines and consoles.
Display, keypad or complete console?
Not all console components are the same. A display shows training information, while a complete console may also include controls and electronics. A keypad overlay is usually just the visible printed surface, whereas the keypad membrane registers the actual input. A PCB is a printed circuit board and forms only one internal component of the console.
How do you find the right replacement console?
Where possible, search using the exact part number from your fitness machine’s parts list or technical documentation. Also check the full model name, serial number and, where relevant, year of manufacture. The same machine may have been supplied with different console versions during its production run.
A console with the same shape or connector is not automatically compatible. The internal electronics, software, pin assignments and communication with sensors or motor controllers may differ. Do not compare parts solely by their product photos.
Is the console actually faulty?
A blank, flashing or unresponsive display does not always mean that the console itself is faulty. The cause may also lie in the power adapter, battery holder, connecting cable, sensor, power connection or mainboard. Check the power supply, visible cable connections and any error messages before replacing a complete console.
Replacing a console safely
Switch the machine off completely and unplug it from the mains before removing the console. Record which cable connects to each socket and do not disconnect plugs by pulling on the wires. Some consoles require configuration, calibration or a specific start-up procedure after installation. Have complex electronic work carried out by someone with the necessary technical knowledge.
What information do you need?
When looking for a replacement console, note the brand, full model designation, serial number and part number of the existing console. Clear photos of the front, back, connections and any labels can help distinguish between different versions.
