Pedals and pedal parts for fitness equipment
A damaged pedal or worn pedal strap can reduce comfort and safety during training. Here you can find complete pedals, footplates, pedal straps, heel supports and other pedal parts for exercise bikes, indoor cycles, cross trainers and rowing machines. Check the machine model, side and mounting details before ordering.
Which pedal parts can you find here?
The range includes various components that support or secure your feet during training, such as screw-in pedals for exercise bikes and indoor cycles, larger footplates for cross trainers, footrests for rowing machines and separate straps or heel supports. The right component depends on the type of fitness machine and its original construction.
Pedals for exercise bikes and indoor cycles
On an exercise bike or indoor cycle, each pedal screws into a crank arm. When replacing one, check the thread diameter and type, left or right side, and any features such as foot straps or an SPD clipless system. A matching thread size does not automatically mean that every pedal is suitable for every machine.
Footplates for cross trainers
A cross trainer’s footplates support the entire foot and connect to the moving pedal arms. These parts are usually model-specific. Check the shape, dimensions, mounting points and whether you need the left or right pedal.
Pedal straps and heel supports
Pedal straps and heel supports help keep your feet in the correct position during training. They are used on exercise bikes and rowing machines, among other equipment. Check that the strap, buckle, opening and attachment method match the existing pedal; similar straps are not always interchangeable.
Identifying left and right correctly
Many pedals and footplates have separate left-hand and right-hand versions. The side is determined from the normal training position on the machine. Always follow the marking on the component or in the product description. On screw-in pedals, the thread direction may also differ between sides.
When should you replace a pedal?
Replace a pedal if it is cracked, deformed or loose, no longer turns smoothly or provides insufficient grip. A torn pedal strap, damaged buckle or broken heel support must also be replaced. If there is play, check the crank arm, mounting shaft and bearings before ordering a new component.
How do you find the right pedal?
Identify the brand and full model designation of the fitness machine. Then compare the part number, dimensions, side and mounting method. For a complete pedal, also check whether it is supplied individually or as a set and whether any straps and installation hardware are included.
Installing pedals safely
Install each component on the correct side and avoid cross-threading. Tighten connections securely following the manufacturer’s instructions and check that the pedal moves freely without excessive play. Test the machine gently before resuming training.
